I went to dinner on Main St in Middletown, Ct and happened upon a new fro yo store. There were a lot of promotions going on at the time so the store was fairly crowded but adequately staffed. There was one staff member just giving out cups for samples! It is a self serve fro yo store that offers a combination of tart, sorbet, low-fat, and non-fat flavors. I chose the original tart and added lots of fruit on top.

Ratings (1-7 swirls)

Quality:
The fro yo was very tasty, the only problem was at the time there was only a few flavors that I liked.

Variety:
The store only offers 8 flavors at a time, but has a very extensive list that they rotate through.

Variety of Toppings:
The toppings were very fresh but little variety. There was the typical fruit toppings which I enjoy and they even had grapes which is one of my favorite toppings. A side from fruit there were fewer options than other fro yo places.

Ambiance:
The store was fairly large with lots of tables to sit at. I went at the end of the summer so they also had a bunch of tables outside.

Pinkberry- Santa Monica

1456 3rd St. Santa Monica, CA 90401

Hours: Sun- Thurs. 10am-11pm
          Fri-Sat. 10am-12:30am

Phone: (310) 394-4982

I was lucky enough to be out in southern Cali for a few days last winter and had to try the Pinkberry fro yo that I had been hearing so much about. Even though I was stuffed from dinner I convinced everyone I was with to try some. The store was extremely busy due to the 80 degree weather in the winder and it is on the promenade a few blocks from the ocean. Since it was so busy I was not able to sample any flavors but I went out on a limb and got pomegranate and was not disappointed.

Ratings (1-7 swirls)

Quality:
The yogurt is exceptional! They have found a near perfect combination of creamy, tart, and refreshing fro yo.

Variety:
This location only had five or 6 flavors at one time, but they do change seasonally.

Variety of Toppings:
There are candies, fruits, and syrups to top the delicious yogurt. The only downside is the Pinkberry employees add the toppings so they are less generous then I would be on my own fro yo.

Ambiance:
The actual store is very busy and has almost no seating. I decided to give it a high rating though because right outside the store is the promenade which has lots of seating. Then two blocks further is the ocean and the Santa Monica pier, one of the best places I can think of to enjoy fro yo.
